Audience Development and Segmentation

We conducted an exhaustive deep dive into previous account segmentation and user behavior to determine our most powerful audience segments.

Rigorous A/B Testing

We implemented a rigorous process for testing Subject Lines, Body Copy, and design elements to ensure we were optimizing as much as possible.


We implemented a popup modal design and strategy that took advantage of the Facebook traffic we were sending to the website.

The Results

Back to the Roots’ email marketing system is now one of their major drivers of revenue. Through thoughtful design and an exacting process, we increased the number of active subscribers from 39K to 95K in just 6 months. Our A/B testing of Subject Lines and email design gave us an increase in Open Rates from just 9% to a stellar 33% and we also increased our Click Rates by 491%.
